Dr. Michael W. Davis, a graduate of California Polytechnic & the University of California, Davis Medical School, joined NWWC in 2002. He completed his residency at Oregon Health and Science University, where he won awards for teaching students and residents. He is proficient in Spanish, and performed volunteer work in Mexico and Guatemala in OB/GYN.
He and his family enjoy the outdoors, hiking in the Gorge, cooking, travel, and the movies. His philosophy of medicine is: the better a patient understands her body & its physiology, the better she can maintain or improve her own health. To that end, he strives to inform his patients about their health habits and choices.
I started with an amazing midwife but due to my pregnancy becoming high risk, I needed to switch to an OBGYN over halfway into my pregnancy. I was hesitant to accept a male physician but after several people told me Dr Davis wasn’t the typical male provider I took a gamble with him. I AM SO THANKFUL I DID. He is kind, very calming to this anxious mama, very intelligent and made decisions with me (not for me) based off of medical studies that he so freely knew. You can tell he loves what he does and has many years of expertise that shows. The cherry on top was he came to the hospital to deliver my son when he was not on call, as he promised me he would. 10/10 recommend Dr Davis. I wish he could be my primary physician as well!
