Alina L. Palmer, RN, CNM, MN joined NWWC Nov. 1, 2017.
Alina received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing at Oregon Health & Sciences University, while working as a NICU and L & D nurse. She knew when she started her first nursing degree that her intent was to pursue a degree in midwifery. She graduated from Oregon Health & Science University in 2005 with her Masters in Nursing, and immediately began working as a midwife. Alina came to NWWC after having had her own midwife practice in Vancouver for over 6 years.
Alina believes in empowering women to make informed decisions about their care. Birth is a momentous occasion in all women\’s lives and that of their family. Alina feels that it is an honor and a privilege to assist all women throughout their pregnancy. She has experience in water birth, nitrous oxide use, and other childbirth options.
In her spare time, she loves traveling with her husband and family. She has gotten quite good at short, exciting trips. She also loves to bake for others, and enjoys craft projects, especially intricate needlepoint.
