Creating Community, Strengthening Healthcare
Miles for Midwives is more than just a race; it’s an annual gathering that unites individuals and organizations dedicated to quality healthcare for women, pregnant individuals, and families in our community. By participating in this event, you actively contribute to the ongoing efforts of ACNM and OMC, supporting scholarships, educational projects, and legislative actions that bolster midwifery and enhance access to healthcare for birthers and families across Oregon.
Supporting Equity and Inclusivity
10% of the proceeds from Miles for Midwives goes directly to deserving organizations that champion equity and inclusivity within the midwifery community. Specifically, these funds will benefit two grants—one through the Oregon Midwifery Foundation and another through the Oregon ACNM Foundation. These grants play a crucial role in promoting diversity by supporting individuals who identify as Black, Indigenous, or a Person of Color (BIPOC) to pursue careers in midwifery. By fostering diversity within the profession, we not only enrich the care provided but also ensure that healthcare services are accessible and inclusive for all.
